Meet the Team

FounderDerek Turner grew up in a family of homebuilders and has been involved in the business since childhood. After working with his father during summers and completing his education at Georgia Tech, he joined a startup home-building company. He played a crucial role in growing a new homebuilding company from its inception to over 150 home closings annually, ultimately selling it to a top-ranking builder in the country. Throughout his career, Derek has successfully managed various aspects of homebuilding, including securing funding, obtaining land entitlements, and overseeing development/construction. With a deep connection to the City of Atlanta, Derek is driven by a desire to serve the community that has supported him. Founding the Middle Housing Company, Derek's mission is to construct high-quality, affordable housing without subsidies in desirable locations. He achieves this objective through innovative land planning and middle housing design concepts.

FounderKnox Rawson is an Atlanta native who has been involved in local Real Estate and Homebuilding since 2015. During this time Knox has built a suite of different products but ultimately found that providing his community with much needed Middle Housing to be where his true passion lies. As a Residential and Light Commercial General Contractor, Knox is responsible for bringing the collective middle housing visions to life through high quality construction practices and thoughtful design.
